The quest log: track up to three contracts

Orbit now has a quest log and colored target markers for tracked contracts. Plus, a lot of equipment that barely did anything now works.

Version 0.157 tidies up Orbit: you now see what you’re working on and where to go.

Colored target markers in flight: brackets around an on-screen target, arrows with number and distance at the edge

The quest log

J opens the log, on a controller hold Y, on a phone tap the contract panel. Tracked contracts come first, then everything accepted by zone, then what the stations still offer. Every contract shows its target, direction, distance and reward.

The quest log with three tracked contracts

Three contracts, three colors

Up to three contracts can be tracked, even from other zones. Each gets a number and color: amber, green, violet. In flight an arrow at the screen edge points there with short text and distance; if the target is on screen, corner brackets frame it. N or tap Y switches focus.

Equipment that works

We audited every item. Two bugs gave unlimited ore, the Core’s loot vanished at the system jump, and some modules barely did anything: the long-range scanner only worked in the jamming nebula, the maneuvering thrusters not with the mouse. That’s fixed, and scanner, drill cooling and reactive armor now grow stronger with their quality.

All details are in the patch notes.
