The trading post as a classic equipment shop. Whatever you buy gets installed in the ship — in a slot of its category, and most categories only have one.
- Equipment slots: Drive, shield system, mining and targeting get one slot each, sensors get two. You commit to a play style instead of stacking everything. Before, there were six equal slots that fit any module.
- Drive (new, for ore): Afterburner (forward +18 %), Maneuvering Thrusters (sideways 90 %, backward 75 %, forward −5 %), Jump Coils (jump recharges 35 % faster; from the middle ring on).
- Shield system: Shield Capacitor or Reactive Armor.
- Mining: Tractor Booster, Ore Scanner or the new Drill Cooling (drill laser 40 % faster, hard rock only slows it down half as much; from the middle ring on).
- Targeting: Aim Gyro (100° per side), Aim Computer (150°) or All-Round Targeting — now a choice instead of three levels that add up. Prices 1 / 2 / 3 tokens.
- Sensors (2 slots): System Map, Tracking, Long-Range Tracking.
- Buying installs. If the slot is taken, the old part goes into storage. At any station it can be reinstalled or sold (half the ore price; token parts 15 ore per token). Swapping only happens at stations; the ship menu shows the slots.
- New trading window: on the left, the offers in sections — equipment by category (with “slot free” or “replaces …”), upgrades for the onboard systems, workshop & supplies —, on the right “Your ship” with all slots and storage. The contract board has its own tab, and the number on it shows what’s available to accept here. Keys 1–9 buy in display order.
- Stars in Orbit sit on a fixed tile. Before, they shifted as you accelerated, because the camera zooms out slightly when you do and their position depended on the width of the view.
- Dust streaks now stretch opposite to the camera’s movement and grow longer with speed; before, they always pointed straight down.
- The aim cone on the ship is hidden during the docking flight.
- The “Fully Equipped” achievement now requires all equipment slots.
- Hangar: compare before you buy. For each stat, the detail panel shows what you have now and what you’ll have after the upgrade — for example “Hull 100 → 115, +15” or “Cooldown 2.6 s → 2.3 s, −0.3 s” —, with the gain in green. Where there’s no number (such as “locked” → “unlocked”), the text stays.
