Signals charge faster for whoever holds still. Until now a signal charged at a fixed rate: 30 seconds in the circle, no matter what you did. Now the pace ramps up as long as you stay still inside the circle — smoothly from ×1 to ×3 over four seconds. Moving lets it decay again, and leaving resets it. Hold still the whole time and you’re done in about 13 seconds instead of 30.
It’s a trade, not a gift: the signal keeps drawing enemies, and standing still makes you a target. An inner turquoise arc shows the acceleration, with the factor above it (“×2.3,” or “×3.0 · MAX” at full charge).
It’s your ship’s own movement that’s measured, before the Core’s pull — drifting alone counts as holding still. Measured: ×2.97 after 5 seconds, back down to ×1.5 after one second of movement.
