Reviewed and fixed: two review rounds with over 100 agents, plus retuned Lightning Arc and drones.
Before releasing 0.151.0, we had several independent reviewers go through the code. Two skeptics double-checked every finding, and the fixes then went through a second round. Fixed:
- Crash: Precision Beat or Shadow Blade together with Critical Burst triggered the crit explosion endlessly and froze the game.
- Boons that did nothing:
- Precision Beat, Muzzle Blast and Accelerator now work for missiles (including cluster bomblets and interceptor detonations) and for the Snake Gun (including its choke hold).
- Ram Spur now damages ordinary enemies too.
- Nova Magnet now also pulls in pickups and components.
- Weapon boons that really do nothing for your active weapon (such as Twin Barrel on the Ion Laser) are no longer offered. In co-op, both ships’ weapons count.
- Nova boons respect the “No Nova” mutator and the number of nova slots.
- Missions:
- Raid, courier and rush jobs only appear in rings with two stations. In the Ember ring they got stuck.
- Siege attackers no longer flee the station’s safe zone, they attack.
- Salvage and scrap trade refill the wreck field when needed, and scrap trade counts the large wreck parts from the field.
- Infiltration reports new hives when none are left.
- Nebula surveys no longer overwrite the banner every frame.
- No stray bandit appears after a system jump.
- Delivering ore no longer counts twice.
- Surveys with nothing left to discover are re-rolled at the station.
- Guardians in the second system: After the first core kill, no guardians, keys or gate appeared anymore, because the “core destroyed” flag lasted the whole flight. Now it applies per system. Guardians in Orbit also appear at the edge of the screen instead of on a fixed line through the core.
- Co-op: Muzzle Blast, Focus Edge, Critical Mass, Echo and the Sharpshooter mission use the ship that fired. Boon DPS is computed per ship. Nebula Walker and Emergency Reserve apply per ship. Aftershock and the nebula, infiltration and siege missions no longer depend on ship 1.
- Lightning Arc and drones used fixed values. Measured, the Lightning Arc did 17 times the weapon’s damage at weapon level 1 and still twice as much at level 15. Now both scale with ship DPS: a steady +48 to +60 % (Lightning Arc) and +34 to +40 % (drones) at every level.
- Projectile budget: Fork, Twin Barrel, Cross Fire and Chain Shot together created up to 1,000 projectiles at once. Above 600, no more copies are created and their damage goes to the original instead. The effect stays the same, and the frame rate stays smooth.
- Small fixes: the Amplifier bar no longer overflows 100 %. Impact Core and Precision Beat also apply to Cross Fire and Rear Gun shots.
