The Gate to the Core has become a model. It’s visibly made of two half-rings joined by two latches — exactly what it is in the game: it only forms once you’ve found both key halves. Each half carries its own energy, half I amber, half II magenta. Six teeth point inward and trace the opening, with the center left empty.
Once again, the scale isn’t just for looks: the teeth reach to within 110 pixels of the center — the distance at which the Core opens. Reach the teeth, and you’re through. The three pulsing auras now sit at 230/275/320 instead of 170/215/260, since otherwise they cut straight across the frame.
The model forge can do more now:
- Rings can now take an angle range, turning them into arcs — the basis for anything built from partial pieces
- The texture atlas now has 16 fields instead of 4 (512 px total, each field still 128 px), adding steel, embers, pulse and ribbing. Without two distinct glow colors, the Gate’s two key halves couldn’t be told apart
Fixed: the diagonal stripes of the warning field painted past their own cell. With four fields that never showed; with sixteen, they spilled into the neighboring field — which gave the trading post’s window band warning stripes. Every field is now painted into its own image and inserted, so it can no longer overflow.
