Hangar prices, take two — with Benni’s number. 0.68.0 had brought the hangar down to 36,490 ions, calculated from an estimated 3,000 ions per hour. Measured in an actual game, it’s more like 20,000 per hour — the passive test ship was off by a factor of seven. At that rate, the hangar would have been emptied out in two hours.
New formula: rank ×1.32 (back to the original), purchase markup 3.6% instead of 2.8%. Total around 240,000 ions ≈ 12 hours at 20,000 per hour. The first 20 ranks cost ~2,000 — it’s quick early on, and the hours are all in the long tail.
Lesson: measure income from the player, not the test ship.
