Three new modules — and for the first time, more modules than slots. Every trading post in Orbit now sells, for tokens:
| Module | Tokens | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Tractor Field | 1 | Loot, ore and XP cores get pulled from 60 % further away, 40 % harder |
| Ore Scanner | 2 | Asteroids give one and a half times as much ore on average |
| Shield Capacitor | 2 | Shield +25 %, recharges 40 % sooner |
Together with System Map, Detection and Long-Range Detection, that’s six purchasable modules, plus the built-in radio receiver — seven for six slots. Buy everything and you have to choose: whatever doesn’t fit lands in storage and can be swapped with an installed module from the SHIP tab — “uninstall” moves it to storage, “install” needs a free slot. The shop tells you up front whether a purchase will be installed or go to storage.
The Ore Scanner rolls its bonus instead of rounding it — a small chunk with a single ore would otherwise never give more, rounded down every time. Measured over 150 chunks each: small ore 1 → 1.55, medium ore 1 → 1.51, obsidian 8 → 12.
Fixed: modules could turn up in a shop’s random offer and then get filtered back out again — in that case the shop only had two offers instead of three.
Ship view: the slot cards used to overrun the stats column at medium window widths. The columns can now shrink narrower than their longest word.
