Every flight starts with your chosen equipment at a low level. What it becomes is up to you along the way.
Levels and skill points
Defeated enemies drop XP cores. Every level grants skill points that you spend in the skill tree (Tab or Start) — on weapon levels, speed, hull, shield, focus and more. After a guardian, the skill tree opens on its own if you still have points left.
Boons
At certain levels the game offers a boon: three cards, you take one. Boons come in three areas — weapon, maneuver and utility. Declining gives you a wreck part.
Sets
Three different boons sharing the same trait unlock a set bonus — for example the Dancer set for grazes, the Armor set for your shield or the Frost set for slowed enemies. Collect with purpose and you get more than the sum of the cards.
Your weapon’s levels
Every weapon grows over fifteen levels:
- Levels 1–5 — the base form gets stronger.
- Level 5 — you choose one of three upgrade paths. The direction shapes every level after it and holds for the whole flight.
- Level 10 — the improved form: more damage, higher fire rate, one more projectile.
- Levels 11–15 — every level adds damage.
All paths are listed on the Weapons page. With element stones you permanently strengthen individual paths in the hangar.
